Angeline Schellenberg’s poems appear in Prairie Fire, Rhubarb, CV2, TNQ, Geez, the Society, and the Beautiful Women and Newborn anthologies. Her first chapbook, Roads of Stone, is forthcoming from The Alfred Gustav Press in May 2015. Her first full-length collection, about raising children on the autism spectrum, will be published by Brick Books in fall 2016. She was awarded Manitoba and Winnipeg Arts Council grants to write a second collection about her Mennonite grandparents.
Angeline apprenticed under Don McKay at the 2013 Sage Hill Poetry Colloquium and with Meira Cook in the 2012 Manitoba Writers’ Guild mentorship program. She holds an MA in biblical studies with an Old Testament major from Providence Theological Seminary. When she isn’t writing poetry, she copy edits the Mennonite Brethren Herald.
Angeline lives in Winnipeg with her photographer/husband Anthony, a young pilot in training, a teen zoologist, and a dog.
